Curriculum Team Leader – Community Based Learning



CURRICULUM TEAM LEADER – Community Based Projects and Adult Vocational Learning Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 Location: Central London Do you want to work closely with the Curriculum Director to build projects to help successfully grow and develop the adult vocational curriculum? This role will enable you to have responsibility for the growth and development of specific curriculum areas as well as manage and lead the members of staff in those departments. You would be instrumental in providing the direction to meet college objectives and targets regarding student performance, as well as making sure a high quality of programme delivery is achieved. Job Responsibility: * Plan and manage new projects that are in line with the colleges business strategy as well as identifying potential new revenue schemes * Make sure projects are delivered in a timely manner and within budget * Communicate with stakeholders to ensure the reporting of all projects, building sustainable and positive relationships with all partner organisations * Plan a broad and creative curriculum for adult learners and stakeholders, ensure the curriculum enables progression for learners of all abilities * Ensure teachers are clear about outcomes of the delivery of their lessons, providing guidance where it is needed regarding classroom methods * Make sure staff and students are clear on their expectations regarding development and successes, monitoring, evaluating and rewarding achievements, acting when improvements are required * Provide support for staff when required to ensure continuous development, observe teaching and give feedback * Ensure that the colleges’ aims and policies are met * Promote and increase new income streams to meet financial targets * Ensure the demands and needs of students and the wider community are met * Develop practises to ensure high quality of teaching and learning outcomes * Ensure timetabling uses resources effectively – utilisation of staff, rooms and courses are maximised * Agree and set aspirational targets for colleges performance * Ensure plans are in place to help students who are underachieving * Responsible for monitoring the quality of delivery and improve based on results from Curriculum Reviews, SAR and QIP. * Ensure college’s safeguarding policy is carried out * Be proactive in identifying opportunities to develop professional development * Demonstrate commitment to college development and practise of equal opportunity Requirements: * Teaching qualification or equivalent professional qualification * Evidence of ongoing self-development in the relevant fields * Understanding of the FE sector and relevant markets * Understanding of the community and their needs (for example disadvantaged groups, employed and unemployed) and experience of developing new curriculum to meet these needs * Knowledge of at least one Vocational sector * Experience of leadership and managing a team, evidence of motivating and inspiring staff * Experience of funding and income streams and understanding of managing budgets * Knowledge and understanding RARPA and have achievement is assessed * Knowledge of technology in a classroom to deliver curriculum * Experience of developing new curriculum in an innovative way * Shown administrative and organisation skills * Evidence of leadership qualities, ability to motivate staff * Evidence of finding solutions to plan workloads and ability to work under pressure * Accountability and ability to If you want to be instrumental in leading curriculum development and helping learners succeed and progress into work, then please apply through or call Morgan Hunt is a multi award winning Employment Business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
