Grantee in News: Jason Karlawish on Cognitive Decline & Financial Scams in Newsweek & Annals of Internal Medicine
On April 15th, 2019 Newsweek featured insights from AFAR expert Jason Karlawish, MD exploring how patterns of financial exploitation or scams could be early indication of cognitive decline, Alzheimer’s, and other dementias in older adults. The article also references a recent editorial “Social Cognition and the Aging Brain” authored by Karlawish in the Annals of Internal Medicine on April 16.
Dr. Karlawish is a 2007 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging scholar.
