Grantee in the News: Dena Dubal on Klotho hormone as treatment for dementia and brain function in New York Times
On April 2, 2019, The New York Times spotlighted AFAR Expert Dena Dubal, MD, PhD and her extensive research on the Klotho hormone as potentially effective treatment for Alzheimer’s and other dementias and supporting brain function.
Dr. Dubal is a 2015 AFAR Research Grant for Junior Faculty recipient, 2009 Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging scholar, and 1998 Glenn/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging recipient.
