General Assistant (Cleaner) Moor Lane Halls, Preston £7.83 per hour (rising to £8.24 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) 25 Hours per week, 5 hours per day, Mon – Fri Why work for us? We work in partnership with universities to provide cost-effective facilities management and support services, as well as providing specifically designed and purpose built accommodation direct to students across the UK. We offer a range of accommodation from shared flats to self-contained apartments in some of the biggest university towns and cities in the UK, including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow. As Cleaner you will be responsible for providing a high quality cleaning and domestic service in the student accommodation. During term time our duties will be cleaning of communal areas, and cleaning of any empty properties. In vacation periods, you will deep clean vacant flats in preparation for summer business.. The role will include: Providing high quality cleaning services for bedrooms, kitchens, pathways and communal areas Identifying and reporting any hazards and faults to ensure a safe environment is maintained Organising stores on site and carrying out checks of equipment, replacing when necessary Any other tasks as required by management Skills and experiences: Previous cleaning or house keeping experience is desirable Ability to work on own initiative and with fast changing requirements Previous experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads Excellent customer service and communication skills Able to work in a team and help colleagues as and when required Ready to join us?
