Senior Care Assistant
The Elms is a renowned residential Care home is East Dulwich with a Christian Ethos setting. The successful candidate will report to the Care Manager/Deputy Care Manager and will provide direction/guidance to Care staff and team members Provide support and training for staff undertaking their NVQ2/QCF2 qualifications. Flexibility is important , as the Home runs a shift rota including a night shift This person should be familiar with the National Minimum Standards and ideally have an NVQ3/QCF3 qualification in Care (preferred not essential) as training will be provided. Part of the role is carrying out pre-admissions needs assessments, overseeing admission procedures, drawing up care plans and risk assessments, involving the resident and their family in the process. Able to run the Home when the Care and Deputy Care Managers are away. Ensure the delivery of all care required by residents, according to their care plans, by assisting in the provision of Medication and by leading and supervising the care assistants on your Shift. Maintain all necessary records completely and accurately Work according to the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers Excellent Team Player and able to delegate workload to junior carers.
