Alternative Provision Maths Teacher



An Alternative Provision School located in the Newton Abbot area is looking to recruit an experienced Maths teacher. The school does require the teacher to have a Maths specialism and Alternative Provision experience is not essential but is desired. You must be firm but fair and have an understanding attitude to pupils with very difficult backgrounds and have a desire to make a difference in their lives. The Teacher Positive Patient Strong Behaviour Strategy Resilient Flexible and understanding in your approach to teaching Be able to teach Maths up to GCSE Pupils learn from the subject knowledge and passion from their teachers so the successful candidate must have these qualities in their teaching. You must have high standards for the pupils you teach and continuously push them forward in their development. The Head Teacher is passionate about providing equality and opportunity for the pupils at the school. The role is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, term time only initially – with the view of a permanent role being issued. The school would also consider a part time teacher for the right person.
