Information on Cadet Colleges Admission in Pakistan


Cadet colleges are the special institutions which offer quality education that prepares the students for purposes like leadership and military skills. Initially, the system of cadet colleges was introduced in Germany during the Bismarck era. This system was later introduced in Pakistan since many people wanted to admit their children to cadet institutions. The first college was set up in Hasanabdal, Punjab in 1954. To begin the admission, you can opt to visit the college prospectus or even the internet to obtain the application form. Please note that obtaining the form is not free. Therefore, you will be required to pay a fee. It is cheaper to obtain the form from the colleges administration offices. Obtaining them outside the offices is more expensive. It even gets higher when the applicable is not in the country.

Upon completion of the registration form. The candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee. This is paid upon bringing back the fully filled registration form. You are given a deadline to which you are required to submit the form along with the registration fee.

  • Matriculation / secondary school certificate courses:

(English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and computer sciences.)

  • GCE 'O' Level:

(English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.)

  • Intermediate (Pre-Medical):

(English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.)

  • Intermediate (Pre-Engineering):

(English, Urdu, Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.)

  • GCE 'A' Level:

(English, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.)

Eligibility

The candidates must not be over fourteen and under twelve years of age as at the time of the admission. Please note that there is no relaxation of age. The candidates must have passed class seven or equivalent class in order to apply.
When the candidates have met all the above, they are called for an open competitive examination that enterprises of three papers; Mathematics, English and Urdu-Islamiyat.

The candidates are finally subjected to a medical test. The candidates found medically fit are considered for admission. They are also required to have passed all the previous tests. The application results are strictly confidential. All the successful candidates are now called to join the college in the last week of April. It is important to note that the application dates of 'O' levels and 'A' levels may differ.
